I will do a larger more comprehensive review but in the meantime, let’s start with all things menopause.

When I was thinking about the best menopause podcasts to talk to you about I wanted to really think about what it is that we actually want to know.

There are a lot of different topics and podcasts out there that will cover most of these areas but I have narrowed down my top 5.

I hope that these podcasts can answer your questions.

I will do a larger more comprehensive review but in the meantime, let’s start with all things menopause.

What is The Menopause?

Menopause

Menopause is a natural biological process that occurs when our ovaries stop producing as much estrogen and progesterone.

Our hormones fluctuate wildly at this time and it can be quite scary if you are perimenopausal and have no idea what is happening to you.

This change creates a lot of symptoms like hot flushes, mood swings, and night sweats, sore joints, anxiety, brain fog, to name a few.

I have written a full blog post on symptoms that show up around the time of perimenopause if you want to know more.

But why do we really need to know more about it? What was I looking for when I started to look for the best menopause podcasts?

Well, the truth is that we don’t really understand what is happening to us. We were not taught about it very well in school. I know the world is coming round to menopause but when I was at school, the only thing I was taught was that menopause is when your periods stop.

Gee, thanks.

I know that my experience of being perimenopausal was very different to other women I have talked to.

By becoming more informed, we can take steps to manage our symptoms and live our best lives.

The Power Of Podcast Communities

Menopause Podcast

Podcasts are a great medium for discussing menopause because they allow for in-depth conversations and personal stories to be shared in a comfortable and accessible way.

With menopause podcasts, you can listen at your own pace, there is no lesson time, you can pick up the bits you need and skip past the rest, and you can listen on your way to work or on your way home from the school run.

Podcasts also provide a sense of community and connection as you hear from experts and other women who are going through similar experiences.

It made me feel a lot less alone knowing that other women were going through the same things as me.

Yes, menopause can be a lonely place. I have two brothers, and two sons and I work in a mostly male business. It can get very lonely.
