As we know night sweats are the worst and when I was researching the best cooling pillow for night sweats I had no idea how many different options there were.

It was the Goldie Locks of pillow hunting, some were too hard, some were too soft, some were too expensive and some just wouldn’t fit in the pillowcase!

For those ladies who suffer from night sweats during menopause and perimenopause you have my sympathy. Being too hot overnight is the worst, but waking up soaking in sweat with red skin aglow can be debilitating.

Night sweats are a menopausal symptom which can really disrupt your life so it’s important we do everything we can to help keep our body temperature cool and regulated as much as we can.

I have listed below the 5 best cooling pillows for night sweats that I have found. I have not used all of these but I have researched the others and put all the info below for you to make an informed decision.

I will say that I have found my holy grail of cooling pillow which works wonders for me, but let’s see what you think.

Here are my 5 Best Cooling Pillows for Night Sweats

Best Overall Cooling Pillow

Simba Hybrid Pillow

The Simba Hybrid Pillow is great for getting a good night’s sleep and extra bonus of the breathable materials!

The microfiber and nanocube blend gives you comfort and the option to change it up to suit you. You can add or remove the nanocubes (shredded foam) and can change the height and firmness to match your preferences.

Night sweats we are coming for you! The Stratos fabric of this cooling pillow keeps you cool throughout the night. It cradles your head and neck, providing the best support regardless of how you sleep.

Cleaning is a breeze with the removable cover and machine-washable design. So no matter how sweaty you get, you can bung this in the washer and you are good to go!

This works for back sleepers, side sleepers and any preferred sleeping position.

Best Value Cooling Pillow

Kally Cooling Pillow For Night Sweats

The air-vent cooling technology inside the Kally Sleep Cooling Pillow is pretty cool (see what I did there!) It actively encourages cool air to come into the pillow whilst pushing out the hot air. The pillow is medium firm which is great for back and side sleepers.

There is no longer a need to flip the pillow for some cool relief through the night. The innovative pillow material keeps you comfortably cool, promoting uninterrupted sleep.

The pillow’s design is great. It supports your head and neck, no matter what your preferred sleep position is. The breathable pillow cover adds that extra little touch of comfort.

The Kally Sleep Cooling Pillow is also hypoallergenic, making it suitable for allergy sufferers. You can also wash the outer cover which is a game-changer for me when thinking about how much I can sweat at night!

Best Temperature Regulation Pillow

SILENTNIGHT cool touch pillow

One of the main features of the Silentnight Cool Touch Pillow is its awesome cool touch technology. The gel beads which lay on the top of the pillow are cool to the touch (the clue is in the name) The beaded top layer is actually pressure activated and absorbs excess body heat so you stay cool all night long.

The beads might get a little warm if you have laid still for a long time but a simple move of the head and a burst of cold is right there, no need to flip the pillow.

This gel pillow offers good head and neck support, promoting proper alignment, the last thing you want is to be hot and in pain!

The knitted cover of this supportive pillow makes it feel far more expensive than it is and the great news is that is machine washable. Hurrah!

As for sleeping positions, this one might be a little tricky for stomach sleepers.

Best Luxury Cooling Pillow

Emma premium Pillow

When it comes to cooling pillows then this cool pillow needs to take the luxury crown.

The Emma Premium Pillow features three layers: Premium ThermoSync foam, supportive foam, and comfortable soft foam.

You can have all three for a firm pillow with a high loft which is great for us side sleepers but you can also mix it up by taking out layers to suit the height you need.

Adjusting the layers is easy, removing them and the cover can be a bit more challenging. But don’t let that put you off, this pillow is cool and super comfy.

This cooling pillow has a thermoregulating layer and UltraDry cover which helps regulate temperature throughout the night and if you suffer from night sweats then just a few degrees cooler will make all the difference in the world.

If you have the money, this is a splurge worth taking, hot sleepers, this one is for you.

Best Multi Option Cooling Pillow

M&S Cooling Pillow For Night Sweats

If you find that you wake up with neck pain or back pain, then the M&S CoolMax Contour Pillow could be your solution.

This memory foam pillow features a supportive and slightly curved design, tailored to alleviate the discomfort of neck and back pain. The cooling pillow’s different heights can be easily adjusted throughout the night, so if like me you move around like a seal on the beach, you have a height for each sleeping position.

One of the great features of the CoolMax Contour Pillow is its innovative Coolmax™ technology. The gorgeous plump cover is designed to move heat away from your body, wick moisture, and keep you nice and cool during the night.

If you’re looking for a firmer and more supportive memory foam pillow that also offers cooling comfort, the M&S CoolMax Contour Pillow is a great choice.

This pillow is machine washable too, which is perfect for those night sweats!

This was out of stock when I checked at the time of writing this, but I will update as soon as it is back in stock!

Closing Thoughts

Do cooling pillows work? Yes, they do!

All you need to do is put in a little research and see what works for you. Consider how your sleeping position and what kind of pillow would help. Think about your night sweats and if they come thick and fast or once in a while, this will help with the type of fabric you need.

A pillow makes ALL the difference to how we sleep but now with the options of gel pillows, cooling gel pad pillows, memory foam pillows with breathable materials, moisture-wicking pillows and gel-infused foam pillows, we must be able to find something to help our night sweats!

Night sweats suck, we all know that but even if we can help reduce our body temperature even just a little bit we would take it right? Then I think it is worth investing in one of the many cooling pillows out there on the market.

You might not find your perfect cooling pillow straight away but the pillows I have mentioned about are only five of the many other cooling pillows out there at the moment. So keep going and you will find one that works for you.

So, my menopausal friends, I hope this has helped a little in showing you a sample of what is out there. If you find your perfect pillow PLEASE let me know, I am always looking for new cooling pillow suggestions!
